Hello – where can you buy the equipment to learn/being making lace please? Also are there beginners classes?

Hi Mary, the equipment for making lace is available in Cork Craft Supplies, Paul St. Shopping Centre, Cork, (021)4254613. They take phone orders and send orders by mail.
Regarding beginners’ classes, we don’t know of any in Limerick at the moment. Kenmare Lace Festival included beginners classes in Limerick Lace. We will be updating this site if we find out about classes, keep an eye on this space!

Hi Mary, I’m the same as yourself, a complete beginner. I just spoke with the lady at Kenmore Lace & absolute beginners are more than welcome at the workshops. I’ve attached a link to the schedule for 2016. The workshop is run in 2 sessions in the day morning & afternoon & it’s €25 per session €50 for the day. If transport is a problem drop me a line, I’ll be driving there anyway
